Chalets1066 is a family owned business which specialises in
self-catered holidays in the French Alps. We pride ourselves in
having high levels of repeat guests.
The Chalet Custodians role is to principally look after the
self-catered accommodation and the guests who stay with us and
respond to all maintenance issues as they arise and provide
diagnoses and rectify where possible. You will also be responsible
for checking in and checking out our clients as they are arriving
and departing for their holidays. You will be the face of Chalets 1066 and the customer's first port of call.
Job
Details:
Change Over Day – Checking in and checking out our clients. Preparation and delivery of laundry and stocks, checking that the chalet is up to standard with regards to maintenance and cleanliness etc.
Collecting of security deposits from Clients and checking in/out
Clients, which will involve inspecting the Chalets and finishing off if necessary.
Morning bread deliveries to our clients are to be dropped on
their doorsteps no later than 7:30am.
Attending to all requests from our self-catered guests whilst in
residence.
Monitoring the buildings we manage, when clients are not in
residence.
Laundry Room – Helping with folding/putting away of linen as and
when required and the changeover of towels etc.
Maintenance of our vehicles and ensuring they are clean at all
times.
Cleaning and monitoring of our communal areas.
Other ad hoc duties will include snow clearing (there will be
lots when the snow falls), laying salt/grit, buying self-catered
stocks etc.
Please
note: Your rota will be designed so that you work
either a morning or afternoon to evening with one day off per week
and maximum opportunity to ski in the afternoon. You will be part of a team.
Successful candidates must be available from December 2018 – April
2019.
A well-organised, level headed, motivated, helpful, enthusiastic and flexible individual is essential for this varied role.
You must be well presented and above all not only be able to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
Practical skills and a knowledge of general maintenance would be useful.
You will be confident driving in snowy, mountainous conditions, on the left hand side of the road.
Being a friendly, welcoming point of contact for the guests throughout their stay with resort information readily available.
Above all you must be hardworking and with a passion for the mountains and possess great customer service. This role is designed for you to get in as much skiing time as possible and your accommodation is virtually ski in ski out and on the bus route.
Please note that you must have a British National Insurance number, European Passport and UK address. A clean driving licence and some basic French (if not more) is desirable but not necessary.
