PART TIME COOK - Acacia Hall

Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for a Cook to join our In-house Services team at the beautiful Acacia Hall located in Friesthorpe between Lincoln and Market Rasen.

The hours for this position are 21 hours per week, working 8:30am to 3:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

About the job:

In this role you will support the Senior Cook to prepare and deliver a creative, varied and nutritious menu for our young people.

All food is prepared using fresh ingredients, following agreed menus and taking into account specific dietary requirements.

The kitchen team are passionate about the food they prepare for our young people and are looking for an experienced Cook to work with them to continue to deliver to this high standard.

This role is a unique catering position as there is no requirement to work evenings and weekends.

What would I be doing?

Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard as set out on the menus.
Order food from suppliers taking into account menus and current stock levels
Prepare tea time menu for the evening care staff.
Maintain food diary ensuring records are kept up to date; recording fridge / freezer temperatures, goods in and cooked items.
Maintain record of pupils' daily dietary requirements.
Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to.

What experience or qualifications would I need?

Relevant experience within a pressurised and busy environment
Experience of producing food for individuals with strict dietary requirements
Relevant catering qualifications and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate

The hourly rate of pay is £8.30
