Working 3 days Friday – Sunday initially with the possibility of more hours in the future – starting Friday 16th February 2024

Hourly rate dependant on experience


We are assisting our client in recruiting a creative and motivated Sous-Chef to join their small kitchen team. Working alongside the Head Chef/Manager, you will employ your culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction.


* Help in the planning and preparation of all foods including menus and specials.

* Produce quality plates of food with the emphasis on taste and consistency.

* Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets the client’s high standards.

* Directing food preparation within the team.

* Manage and train kitchen staff.

* Ordering of stock appropriately.

* Comply with and enforce cleanliness regulations and safety standards.

* Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.

* Being creative in menu choices to maximise profits.

* Provide support to other members of the team with various tasks such as cooking, food preparation and plating.


* Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

* Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.

* Familiar with the industry’s best practices, as set out by the Food Standards Agency.

* Excellent communication skills.
