Description

Like with all of our jobs, first and foremost, we are looking for genuine outdoor enthusiasts. Keen hill-walkers with good outdoor navigation skills who are interested in hospitality jobs in the Italian Dolomites.
This role would suite a very well organised person, or couple, who have a genuine passion for helping people. It presents the opportunity to spend a prolonged period in the mountains, alongside the chance to have a real positive impact on both our guests holidays and the rest of the teams experience.
As a Resort Manager you will be one the key players in delivering our holidays on the ground. You will be the central point for our team of 10 Walk Organisers as well as our landlords and local suppliers. You will be the one making decisions on a daily basis with the interest of our guests and other staff put first. This is an extremely varied role, one which we can truly say, no two days will be the same.

Your time out in resort would be split between spending time on the hill with our guests and resort based duties. You would usually spend one or two days as part of our organised outdoor programme. In the summer this will be leading walks, in the winter this will be both Ski days and snowshoe days. This is a great opportunity to spend quality time with our guests out on the hill. They key to it all in terms of our holidays. The rest of the week you will be more office based, acting as the main link between the UK office, helping to orchestrate all of the airport transfers, liaising with landlords and suppliers and of course, providing support for our team of 10 walk organisers. On these days you are also our ‘spare pair of hands’, you may need to accompany guests or staff to the doctors, cover an airport transfer, essentially be on the ground ready to help in any eventuality, whilst always providing genuine hospitality first and foremost.

All of our roles out in resort demand a lot of free-thinking and flexibility but none more so than that of the Resort Manager. You must have both the ability to and the will, to prioritize tasks as well as be able to drop everything in order to provide help or assistance to our guests or other team members, sometimes at the detriment of your own personal time.

Above all else, this is a very genuine hospitality role, and if you are a people person, it can be very rewarding. You need to love spending time with the guests as much as you do spending time on the mountain.
With this being such a key role out in resort, we are especially interested in someone, or a couple, who is looking for a longer-term seasonal role, who is able to commit to both Summer and Winter seasons.
