Description

Manchester United are seeking motivated individuals to work throughout the busy 2021/2football season at the iconic Old Trafford Stadium! 

Lead Chefs work in the kitchens areas ensuring that they run smoothly to provide world class catering for the customers being served within the hospitality areas. This involves preparing, cooking and serving food to clients across the stadium.

As far as possible each Lead Chef is allocated to work in the same kitchen for each game. However business needs may require you to relocate to another area for any event or match day. 

Main Duties 
 
  • Arrive to work with the appropriate uniform, black trousers, black apron, white tunic, black skull cap and sensible enclosed shoes, not trainers or clogs.
  • Adhere to the companies no jewellery policy.
  • Organise, motivate, lead and manage your team.
  • Successfully prepare, cook and serve food to clients across the stadium.
  • Ensure all food is served to the company’s specification and high standards.
  • Record all the relevant temperature controls on to the appropriate paper work.
  • Take food samples and store in line with the company’s sampling procedures.
  • Record all wastage.
  • Effectively store and control stock within your area.
  • Report any service issues to the relevant parties.
  • Successfully clean down your kitchen in accordance with company procedures.
  • Return all paperwork and probes to unit 30 at the end of your shift
  • Report all repairs and maintenance issues to the BOH team.
  • At all times maintain a good working relationship with other members of staff and effectively manage and motivate staff responsible to you.
  • To ensure all legislation and codes of practice in relation to Health and Safety are adhered to, including the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and COSHH 1994.
  • Most of all lead by example.

Requirements

  • A basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety sanctions.
  • Knowledge on how to use major cooking kitchen equipment including: stoves, rationales, combination oven-grills, brat pans and refrigerators.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Computer literate.
