We are looking for Chalet Helper/Drivers to join our team based in Morzine for this winter season.
Working at one of several of our Morzine chalets you will be a vital member of the
chalet team working closely with the chalet hosts. While the Chalet
Hosts are primarily in charge of the cooking and cleaning of the
chalets, your key role is supporting the Chalet Host with in the chalet, transporting the guests to and from the
ski slopes, help with getting guests organised with ski hire and
being a point of contact for all ski related questions and airport
transfers on changeover days.
General help in the chalet involves helping the chalet hosts with things such as setting the table for breakfast & dinner, serving both
breakfast and dinner. Serving guests canapés and aperitif pre dinner, clearing tables & washing up. Keeping the
honesty bar stocked, maintaining the hot tub, setting the fire, snow
clearing, being in charge of wine supplies, being in charge of keeping
the garage areas where skis and boots are stored clean and tidy and just
generally being an extra pair of hands in the mornings (approx 7.30 -11am) and during evening shift (approx 6.30pm-10pm).
Our in resort service involves shuttling the guests from the chalet to
the slopes in the mornings from 8.30 to 10.30 & afternoon pick ups
from the slopes from 3.30pm onwards. As well as actually driving the
guests you will need to organise the guests in a nice but efficient manner so that the service runs as smoothly as possible.
Our main transfer day is on a Sunday when you will be required to do 2
trips to the airport, you will most likely have to do a trip on Saturday
& one mid week when we have short break stays. You will be
responsible for looking after your van, keeping it clean, full of
diesel, checking oil & that water is filled for wipers.
In terms of being the point of contact for all ski related questions, we
would need you to quickly gain good knowledge of the local area, ski
lift opening times, best places to ski/board, good beginner areas, be
able to advise on restaurants on the mountain and also help guests at
the ski hire shops that we use & be helpful in putting them in
contact with ski schools if they require lessons. You would need to keep
guests informed on the weather on a daily basis and any events on in
the mountain.
Do you want to be part of a successful team running a stunning chalet that you can be proud to welcome your guests into? Do you fancy spending your winter in the resort of Morzine and being able to make the most of exploring the amazing ski area of the Portes Du Soleil? If you are the sort of person who goes
the extra mile to look after guests then please apply!
