A fantastic role has arisen for a Conference and Banqueting Assistant Manager within a beautiful 5 Star Hotel just north of Harpenden. Set within a huge estate, the hotel is an extremely attractive setting for weddings, as well as other functions and conferences, and can cater for up to 500 guests across 3 separate areas, as well as other outdoor activities.

As the Conference and Banqueting Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Operations Manager within the Conference and Banqueting department, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all events; and maintaining the absolute highest of standards to ensure maximum guest satisfaction. This is a luxury estate striving for nothing but the best.

As Conference and Banqueting Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations on the frontline, whilst being able to staff at optimum levels and keeping staff costs under control at all times.

This is a fantastic but demanding role, involving multi-event operations, and as such needs a high calibre candidate with an abundance of enthusiasm and work ethic.

The Conference and Banqueting Assistant Manager will:

- Have prior operational events management experience, ideally within a similar type of venue.
- Be calm and confident under pressure.
- Have experience dealing with large-scale events.
- Have prior experience managing multiple events.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and real eye for the finest detail.
- Have good knowledge of wines and spirits.
- Be driven, motivated, and enthusiastic.
- Be well presented, punctual, professional, and personable.
