Description

Work in a traditional French family hotel and restaurant for season 2018-19 in Les Gets!  

You will be required to maintain and build on the excellent reputation that the Hotel Christiania in Les Gets has set over the past 15 years.

We are looking for a creative individual who will work under the direction of the Head or Sous Chef and who will be given the responsability of running a section within a busy kitchen. a

We are seeking a confident individual who will help run a small kitchen demonstrating a real commitment with the aim of providing a very high standard of cuisine at all times. 

Working to a series of  pre-set menus we only use the freshest produce at all times. Canapes or amuse bouche are served daily.

A cooked breakfast is provided each morning and home baking and beverages are put out each afternoon.

Individuals should be able to work calmly under pressure and show a willingness to work in all sections. Budgeting and ordering may also fall within your remit and hygiene and safety regulations must be adhered to at all times.

Average of 45/60 covers on a daily basis with up to 110 guests on peak dates.

You will be assisted by a Head Chef Sous Chef and KP/Commis Chef . 6 day week with one full day off each week The kitchen is open 7 days a week

Requirements

  • Min of 2 years experience  in professional kitchens.
  • Good references essential.
  • Driving licence and/or French language would be an advantage
