Chef required to work a combination of day and evening shifts during the core business days of a Thur, fri, sat, sun and bank holidays and weekdays and weekends during term times.

You will support and lead service in the kitchen and ensure orders are cooked and presented to high standards, the correct portion control and price profit margins are effective.

You will be responsible for food stock orders ,quality control waste management and cleaning systems of the kitchen and all food standards management.

Managing health and safety and food standards records.


Skills needed:

  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Good leadershipExperience of professional cooking with meals to order
  • To work quickly calmly when under pressureAbility to deal calmly with unexpected situations and crisis
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism or customer complaints.
  • Stamina with ability to cope in a hot and busy kitchen
  • You will need to have a number of years experience as evening chef with good references to support this.
  • It would be an advantage to have a professional qualification such as NVQ 3 diploma in professional cookery and NVQ 3 in food safety.

The rate of pay will depend on skills qualifications and experience. Please in first instance email your CV. Where suitable candidates will be offered an interview and work trial if appropriate. Reference will be required from last employment.
