Jackson Gardens, Knowsley Cafe, Liverpool
£20,000 per year
37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Variable - 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day

We're looking for a dedicated part time Assistant Chef to work at Jackson Gardens, Knowsley Cafe who wants to make a difference and thrives in a challenging environment. Main responsibilities include:
To lead he preparation, cooking and presentation of all foods served in the unit as required.
To ensure that the health and safety regulations are observed and adhered to.
Adhere to the safe and hygienic working practices.
Manage food for service and maintain a high standard of presentation and cleanliness during meal service.
To monitor cleanliness of work surfaces, equipment and any other cleaning duties as required to the kitchen cleaning schedule.
To oversee operations of cash registers where applicable and understand banking procedures within the unit where necessary.
Maintaining an orderly stock room, ensuring stock rotation and correct stock handling is adhered to.
To ensure that the correct procedures are used when storing chilled and frozen and ambient foods.
To have an understanding of the Vertas’ Healthy Eating Programme.
To deputise for the Head of Kitchen and have a full understanding of all aspects of the job by maintaining stock book records, signing in records, tool box.
